Samantha Renee Ratcliffe is a second-year poetry MFA student and graduate assistant at the University of Kentucky. Originally from Eastern Kentucky, her work explores queer Appalachian life and has appeared in multiple journals and anthologies. A longtime musician, she has been writing and performing across Kentucky as musician Fields May for nearly two decades. She also leads the Hill Writers Collective, offering free in-person and online writing opportunities.
